Philadelphia Fans Were More Ornery Than Ever After Last Year’s Trade

SAINT PAUL, Minn. Last offseason, Boston College’s Cutter Gauthier drew the ire of some in the hockey world by telling the Philadelphia Flyers, the team that drafted him 5th overall in 2022, that he wanted to be traded.
Gauthier has kept his exact reasons close to the vest, but it was reported that he was annoyed the Flyers wouldn’t offer him a contract to leave college and go pro. He then skipped the Flyers’ summer development camp.
