Clarkson, and the town of Potsdam, N.Y., has been good to Casey Jones, and he’s been good to Clarkson in his 13 years as head coach.
But the chance to return to his alma mater, and take the torch from his good friend Mike Schafer, was too good to pass up.
“I like Clarkson a lot, it’s been really good to me,” Jones said. “Leaving people behind is the difficult thing. It’s hard for my wife, too, breaking relationships. We’ve had an outpouring of support from a lot of our friends.”
