Rhett Pitlick, Minnesota’s leading scorer last season as a junior, has decided to transfer to Minnesota State, effective immediately.
No reason was given for the move, which obviously comes very late, with school already having started at both universities. Nowadays, with no penalty for transferring, so long as Pitlick is still eligible to enroll at his new school right away, he is eligible to play for the Mavericks.
“We are excited to add Rhett to our team and program,” MSU coach Luke Strand said. “His game-breaking ability and experience will complement our forward group and team well.”
