Ryan Leonard said it best: Boston College has unfinished business.
The Washington Capitals offered Leonard a contract last spring. He would have joined the Caps for the Stanley Cup playoffs. Sign on the dotted line, and he’d be an NHL player.
But Leonard couldn’t shake the loss to Denver in the national championship game.
“That night (the offer came), I didn’t go to sleep ’til probably 3 or 4 in the morning, and I had class the next day,” he said during Washington’s development camp this summer.
“We have some unfinished business, honestly,” Leonard told NHL.com. “Maybe if our game against Denver goes the other way, it could have been a little bit different…
