The power forward from New Jersey recovered quickly from knee surgery that cut short his freshman season and enjoyed a breakout sophomore campaign that had pro scouts discerning his post-college plans.
The good news for Tiger fans is falling just short of qualifying for the NCAA Tournament last spring still gets on the 6-foot-4, 206-pounder’s nerves.
That extra motivation convinced the Tigers’ second-leading scorer (28 points, 15 goals) to put off his professional future even after a good showing in this summer’s Boston Bruins developmental camp.
