Washington, D.C. and Chicago were today named sites of the 2027 and 2028 Frozen Four, respectively.
Washington last hosted in 2009, and, like then, the host school is the U.S. Naval Academy.
The University of Denver, which won the 2017 Frozen Four in Chicago, the only other time it was held there, is host of the 2028 event.
“It is a distinct honor any time your institution is awarded the hosting of a national championship event,” Denver athletic director Josh Berlo said. “I want to thank our partners at the United Center, the Chicago Sports Commission and Blue Arena in Loveland for playing such a meaningful and supportive role in the bid process.
