Well, might as well get this Team of the Week thing out of the way early for Denver, because there’s going to be an awful lot of them this year where it could qualify.
Wisconsin may be struggling to start the season, but Denver dismantled the Badgers at Magness Arena this past weekend, 4-2 and 6-1. The first game was close, but the second night’s game, the score doesn’t even reliably demonstrate the Pioneers’ domination. The same could be said of the previous weekend, against a Northeastern team with high hopes. Those 5-2, 5-2 games, again, don’t come close to explaining it.
Collectively, maybe it does. Denver has outscored its opponent in six games so far this season, 30-10.
