There are a bunch of newsworthy notes from around college hockey this week.
First, do you want more evidence that the college athletic landscape is changing?
Minnesota posted an opening for “cap manager,” which is a new position you’ll likely see popping up at many schools in anticipation of the House settlement. According to the job posting, the cap manager will be responsible for negotiating and maintaining revenue-share contracts with football, men’s basketball, women’s basketball, volleyball, and men’s hockey players.
The posting says that the cap manager will also work with the school’s NIL collective, which will still exist, to provide additional NIL…
