Rain continued to play spoilsport in the third Test match between India and Australia in Brisbane, and only 57 overs could be bowled on the fourth day.
With heavy rains in the city, the game saw stop-gap periods of play which disrupted both teams’ momentum. The visitor ended the day at 252 for nine, trailing by 193 runs. India avoided the follow-on.
Only 25 overs could be completed during day three too., while the first day was curtailed with only 13.2 overs completed.
The forecast continues to predict rain on Day 5, with the rainfall percentage predicted to be around 80-90 per cent during the scheduled start of play.
