Rain continued to play spoilsport in the third Test match between India and Australia in Brisbane, and only 57 overs could be bowled on the fourth day.
With heavy rains in the city, the game saw stop-gap periods of play which disrupted both teams’ momentum. The visitor ended the day at 252 for nine, trailing by 193 runs. India avoided the follow-on.
Similar weather forecasts are expected on the fifth and final day, reducing the chances of the contest reaching a result.
