The 2025 World Junior Championships will officially drop the puck on Thursday.
As is usually the case, Team USA features the most NCAA players, but Finland, Latvia, Slovakia, Sweden, Switzerland and Czechia also rostered college players or recruits.
Here are a few things to watch during this year’s World Juniors.
Favorite to win the Gold: United States
Team USA returns several players from last year’s gold-medal-winning team, including the most critical piece, starting goaltender Trey Augustine from Michigan State.
Augustine will enter his third tournament as the starter, a virtually unheard-of feat.
