Seven Straight Wins After Shutting Out Cornell to Take Desert Classic

When Arizona State burst Denver’s bubble six weeks ago, winning 3-2 at Magness Arena to snap the Pioneers’ 12-game winning streak to start the season, it was a big deal. But coach Greg Powers said, at the time, that he wanted his program to get used to those kind of big wins.
The next night, ASU completed a sweep. It hasn’t lost since. Two wins against Minnesota Duluth, a pair of exhibition wins against the U.S. Under-18 team, and this past weekend’s tournament championship at the Desert Classic, the still relatively new tournament it hosts at Mullett Arena.
