ORONO, Maine It’s rare to get a non-conference matchup this late in the season that features two top-10 Pairwise teams. The weekend’s series between Denver and Maine lived up to the hype.
A pair of 2-1 contests saw Denver’s Cale Ashcroft break a 1-1 tie in the final minute Friday; then Saturday, Maine returned the favor with David Breazeale’s third-period score serving as the game winner.
