Jeff Jackson Coaches an Outdoor Game One Last Time

Notre Dame coach Jeff Jackson got a much-needed boost when his Irish won a shootout against Penn State at Wrigley Field in the Big Ten’s Frozen Confines series. Since the two clubs are in a battle to escape the Big Ten cellar, the extra point was precious. In a season marked by futility, Jackson and his club enjoyed a ray of light to open the new year.
“We’re making progress, starting to connect the dots a little bit,” said Jackson, who loved that his club was finally hitting the net with pucks. “That might be the first time since I’ve been at Notre Dame that we’ve actually outshot Penn State.”
