Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta has confirmed a fresh injury blow ahead of the first leg of the Carabao Cup semi-final against Newcastle United at the Emirates Stadium.
The Gunners recently suffered a setback with a 1-1 draw against Brighton & Hove Albion in the Premier League. They were unlucky to share the spoils after the Seagulls received a controversial penalty.
In the same game, Ethan Nwaneri was substituted at the half-time interval with a muscular injury and speaking in today’s presser, the manager confirmed the setback for the 17-year-old.
The Gunners boss added that the teenager could be sidelined for the next few weeks, but did not provide an exact timeline for his return to action.
