Chelsea defender Renato Veiga has agreed personal terms with Borussia Dortmund ahead of a potential winter transfer, according to Fabrizio Romano.
The Portuguese joined the Blues from Basel last summer and he has been used sparingly from the left-back position under manager Enzo Maresca.
He has now decided to pursue a new challenge with Dortmund. The 21-year-old has been assured more game time from his preferred centre-back role.
Chelsea are prepared to sanction his sale for around £25m and it remains to be seen whether Dortmund are willing to pay the transfer fee this winter.
The Blues have their sights on landing a new centre-back in the current transfer window. Benfica’s Tomas Araujo is a top target for them.
