Ferris State head coach Bob Daniels announced last week that he’ll retire at the end of this season. Ferris State AD Steve Brockelbank told The Big Rapids Pioneer this week that the school has a firm commitment to the hockey program.
“We’ve been successful in a lot of programs and there’s no reason why we can’t be successful in Division I hockey,” he said. “There are some unique challenges in Division I hockey. I think we can meet several of those challenges. I think we can be creative in the ways that we meet those challenges. I don’t know why we can’t be successful. We understand it will take some time.
