CHN Staff Report
Michigan State senior captain Red Savage will miss the remainder of the season with what’s being called an upper-body injury, coach Adam Nightingale said.
Savage, a forward, had five goals and 12 points this season in 20 games, as the Spartans have ascending to No. 2 in the Pairwise. He had 10-17—27 for MSU last season, his first with the team after spending two years at Miami.
“Injuries are part of any team sport,” Nightingale said. “It’s about how you respond to it. We’ve got more than enough in our room to get the job done. This is an opportunity for other guys to step up and take advantage of their chance.”
Michigan State faces Ohio State this weekend.
