It’s been an interesting four months in Omaha. After opening the season with wins over Massachusetts and Minnesota in Vegas, Omaha followed it up with a six-game losing streak — including an 0-4 start on home ice.
Omaha went 3-7-0 through its first 10 games and had just four regulation wins at the Christmas break. Injuries piled up throughout the first half, the power play continued to sputter and besides an eight-goal outburst (Nov. 23) against Miami, Omaha struggled to score.
Omaha also split its final first-half series against Lindenwood — who came to town with just three wins — and the Mavs are currently 35th in the Pairwise.
