There was a time when Maine in the Frozen Four, let alone the NCAA Tournament itself, was inevitable — 11 times in 20 years. The last one, however, was 18 years ago now, in 2007 at St. Louis.
St. Louis just so happens to be where this Frozen Four is. Forgive Maine fans for starting to dream about the synergy. That was the year Ben Bishop led the Black Bears — you may have heard of him.
