With Boston College and Boston University off on Saturday, awaiting their showdown in Monday’s Beanpot final, it was up to the rest of the league to shine, and that it did.
Of course that hasn’t been difficult for Hockey East in general, which now boasts nine teams in the top 20 of the Pairwise, including Merrimack, which won in overtime against BU on Friday, then followed it up with a 5-4 win at New Hampshire. The wins moved the Warriors up to sixth in the league, ahead of seventh-place Providence, which is also No. 6 in the Pairwise, remarkably.
