The last player to crack the Top-20 on the ATP Tour is angling to be the next into the Top-10. That would be British No.1 Jack Draper, who is up to No.12 in this week’s rankings for a new career-high.
Draper, who moved into the Top-20 for the first time after reaching his maiden Grand Slam semifinal at the US Open, has only 40 points to defend at Indian Wells and Miami, so there’s a good chance he could make it by the end of March.
Draper, who lost the Doha final to Andrey Rublev, is 7-2 on the season. He reached the second week at the Australian Open before falling to Carlos Alcaraz when he was forced to retire after two sets.
