Indian Wells, California – Frances Tiafoe sometimes has a little too much on his mind.
That was perhaps the case on Friday night, as the American delayed the start of his second-round match with Damir Dzumhur due to the fact that he forgot to pack a critical part of his equipment.
Yes, it has been said that a tennis player is nothing without his racquet. In this case, Tiafoe had to whisper in his opponent’s ear to let him know that play wouldn’t be starting until his coach David Witt had completed his fact-finding mission.
