When the dust settled on a wild Sunday filled with Game 3s in the Atlantic Hockey playoffs, it was also a moment of somber reflection.
American International, which in the last nine years under Eric Lang did what many would’ve considered impossible — a tiny Division II school making three NCAA Tournaments and winning four regular season titles — played its last game as a Division I hockey program.
“Nine years and seven championships later, we’ve achieved what many thought impossible in college hockey.
