Two pairings from this weekend determined the final seedings in the NCHC’s final regular-season weekend. And now that that’s concluded, both of the same pairings will meet each other again next weekend in the league quarterfinals.
It looked like it might turn out otherwise after North Dakota earned a rousing win over Omaha on Friday. Combined with Denver’s win over Colorado College (to clinch another Gold Pan trophy), the Fighting Hawks and Pioneers were left tied for third place, with Omaha fifth.
