Minnesota forward Aaron Huglen will miss the NCAA Tournament, after suffering an injury in last weekend’s game against Notre Dame.
Huglen, essentially the team’s third-line center and an important cog, was injured in the second period of Sunday’s Game 3 of the Big Ten quarterfinal series. Minnesota went on to lose the game, and now needs to wait almost three weeks until its next game, which will be in the first round of the NCAA Tournament.
X-rays revealed a broken bone for Huglen, a senior. He previously suffered a major injury while in juniors, but recovered and has appeared in almost every game over four seasons with the Gophers.
