With no clear favorite and possibly just one NCAA bid to grab, the ECAC tournament has a new flair.
Although Quinnipiac entered the tournament as the one seed, after its fifth straight regular-season crown, there is no doubt that the parity from top to bottom in the league could produce some weird results in the coming two weeks.
Only the Bobcats have an outside chance at an at-large berth in the NCAA tournament, but even that would take some twists. It has been a long time since the ECAC Tournament was viewed as a winner take all, but it’s generally been a down year overall.
That said, the competition among the teams remaining is as fierce as ever.
