After two underwhelming seasons with Wisconsin, Charlie Stramel is seeking a fresh start at Michigan State to rejuvenate his hockey career.
Stramel, the Minnesota Wild’s first-round pick in 2023, hoped his second year with the Badgers would be a redemption under first-year head coach Mike Hastings. However, the 2023-24 season was marred by limited ice time and early injuries. He scored only eight points (three goals, five assists) in 34 games. The previous year, he accumulated only slightly better with 12 points (five goals, seven assists) in 33 games.
