Rocky Elsom has revealed he fled Dublin within hours of hearing an international arrest warrant was issued for him last month.
The former Wallabies captain, who returned to Dublin more than a decade after helping lead Leinster to a famous European Cup victory, said he feared that he would be left rotting in a prison cell after a French court sentenced him to five years.
The sentencing came after he was accused of misuse of corporate assets during his time as president and majority owner of Racing Club Narbonne (RCNM) that ended in 2016.
