Fusco Forsakes Huge Family Legacy to Make Big Impact at Dartmouth

John Fusco began his career at Harvard, but quickly realized he needed a change after the first season. Transfers within the Ivy League are rare, but a movement from Cambridge to Dartmouth is even moreso.
When you add in the fact that his father won a Hobey Baker Award playing for Harvard (as did his uncle, for that matter), it’s safe to say the move is unprecedented.
But Fusco was sold a vision at Dartmouth. And it was vision that head coach Reid Cashman was also selling to Fusco’s brother Matt at that time as well. Matt is two years younger than John and was making his decision on where to go right when John was at Harvard. (Their cousin, Bradley,…
