After Digging a Hole, Hawks Head Into Break on a Big Upswing

North Dakota has had weekend sweeps during the course of the season. But they had been coming against the less-than-high-end competition.
Even after a stirring road sweep against Miami, which included an epic Friday night comeback, there were still questions as to whether the Fighting Hawks had turned a corner. They certainly believed they had, pointing to that comeback as a turning point, but more evidence was still needed.
Whether North Dakota is on its way back to the NCAA Tournament now, still remains to be seen — it’s 22nd in the Pairwise as it heads into January — but we know that this past weekend’s sweep of St. Cloud State was finally the…
