BU Star 4th Freshman to Win College Hockey’s Top Individual Honor

SAINT PAUL, Minn. Boston University’s Macklin Celebrini was named the 44th Hobey Baker Award Winner on Friday night at the St. Paul RiverCentre. He is the fourth Terrier to win the Hobey Baker and is the third in the past 15 years (Matt Gilroy, Jack Eichel).
“The last year has been a [great] year,” Celebrini said. “All the people [at BU], they’ve been so awesome. they’ve been so supportive of our team.”
Celebrini recorded 64 points, third nationally. His 32 goals ranked first among freshmen and second in the country. Celebrini also had 22 multi-point games. The British…
