Connecticut continued its ridiculous run last week with a win in the CT Ice Tournament, which included a victory over Quinnipiac in the semifinals. The Huskies are now 6-0-1 in their last seven games and have climbed 14 spots in the Pairwise just in the last month. UConn entered the new year outside of the NCAA Tournament picture at No. 18, and here today, it’s a No. 1 seed (No. 4 overall).
The Huskies deserve a lot of credit for proving doubters (including myself) wrong.
UConn was picked by the Hockey East coaches to finish eighth in their league … it’s fourth in the country.
Personally, I had the Huskies 11th in Hockey East in the preseason.
I was a fan of their freshman…
