Final Hockey East Bracket Still Murky with 1 Weekend Left

Hockey East’s dream of getting seven teams into the NCAA Tournament was always a tall order, given that their own teams were going to have to knock each other off at some point. Case in point may just be Massachusetts-Lowell, which took just 1 of 6 points from Massachusetts over the weekend.
Both teams came in on the bubble, but it’s Lowell that has been slipping off after a recent slump. And after Saturday’s win, UMass now sits at 12 in the Pairwise, which is not entirely comfortable, but better. The Minutemen are 8-2-2 in the last 12, which has helped quite a bit, obviously, while the River Hawks are on a 2-6-1 skid.
